LSA Family in Mission Volunteers serve in human service agencies, home health care centers and multi-service centers in Massachusetts and New York. These agencies are also connected to the Little Sisters of the Assumption in their history and mission. LSA FIM Volunteers are welcome and needed in all of them. While the sites vary in the precise services offered, the family-centered ideal of the Little Sisters is the mission of all of them.

Volunteers may be placed at the site where they are most needed, but are often free to choose the site where they would like to serve when possible. Applicants are encouraged to apply with a particular site and ministry in mind, but this is not required. Although special opportunities exist for professional level volunteering in the areas of Education, Social Work, and Nursing, there are plenty of para-professional positions to be filled at all the agencies, so applicants shouldn't be under the impression that they need a degree in social work or health care experience to work in any of the sites. The Little Sisters and the staff of the agencies will do everything possible to provide volunteers with rewarding, fulfilling ministry opportunities.
